MINTO (AP) - Bond has been set at $3,000 for a man accused of leading police on a high-speed chase from Grafton to Minto.

Police 30-year-old Jorge DeLeon is a Mexican citizen in the United States illegally. He is facing state charges that include speeding and reckless driving.

DeLeon was arrested on Wednesday after a chase from Grafton to Minto that started when DeLeon was stopped for a traffic violation. Authorities say DeLeon took off and later crashed his vehicle near Minto, then fled on foot. Police searched for him for several hours before getting a tip from a local resident and arresting DeLeon.
