FARGO (AP) - Police say they are investigating whether the theft of six desktop computers, a laptop computer and related equipment from the Minn-Kota Chapter of the American Red Cross is linked to similar crimes in the area.
A Red Cross employee discovered the break-in early Wednesday, police said.
Cindy Christensen, the chapter's director of education and training, said the donations for victims of Hurricane Katrina were safe; they had been deposited before the break-in.
Workers were in the office until 11:30 p.m., and returned at 5 a.m., to find their computers gone, she said.
