MINOT (AP) - Prosecutors have rested their case against two men after calling a state medical examiner to testify about the death of Joshua Velasquez in Minot last July.

Antonio Stridiron of Minot is charged with murder in the shooting death of Velasquez. Bradley Davis, also of Minot, is charged with aggravated assault. He is accused of striking Velasquez with a scythe, a bladed garden tool.

The jury of eight women and six men heard from five witnesses Tuesday, including Dr. William Massello, the state forensic examiner. Defense attorneys were to begin their case Wednesday.
