FARGO (AP) - The North Dakota State University Development Foundation says it has received $2.2 million in gifts from two estates.
NDSU says the gifts will benefit the College of Business, athletics and scholarships for honor students.
The foundation got $803,000 from the estate of Selina Hume of Peoria, Ariz., who was married to the late David Hume, a 1940 NDSU graduate. She died in March.
The other gift is from the late Darrow R. Beaton, who graduated from NDSU in 1947. Beaton of Las Vegas died in April. He gave the Development Foundation nearly $1.4 million in cash and the transfer of his home.
