JAMESTOWN (AP) - The Anne Carlsen Center for Children in Jamestown has dedicated a $3 million remodeling project to the Rev. Wilko Schoenbohm, the center's first superintendent and chaplain.
Remodeling the entire east half of the center took two years. Chief executive Dan Howell says the project has created a more homelike atmosphere, allowing greater independence for the 30 disabled children and young adults who previously lived in a dormlike setting.
