BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Wintry weather knocked out power in the Billings area and more snow was in the forecast.
Claudia Rapkoch, a spokeswoman for NorthWestern Energy, said about 500 customers were affected by Thursday night's outage. Power was restored by 10 p.m.
Forecasters predicted up to 3 more inches of snow in the Billings area. Up to a foot of snow is expected in other places, including Livingston, Big Timber and the mountains around Red Lodge.
Snow should fall throughout the weekend across much of central and eastern Montana.
