FARGO (AP) - Police say a Fargo man suffered a minor wound to his abdomen when he wrestled a knife away from a guy who tried to rob him.

The attempted robbery happened Sunday night on Fourth Street North.

The victim told police that he was confronted by a knife-wielding man who demanded his wallet.

Instead of handing it over, the victim grabbed the man's knife hand and hit him in the face.

The attacker ran off and left his knife behind while the victim walked to MeritCare Hospital about two blocks away.
