PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The latest report from the state Health Department shows another death from influenza.

Nine people ages 53 to 96 have died from the flu this winter. South Dakota had six flu-related deaths a year ago.

Officials say the flu is widespread and 281 people have been hospitalized.
