TRENTON (AP) - Two Montana men escaped serious injury when their float airplane flipped while landing on northwestern North Dakota's Trenton Lake.
Byron Sunwall, 52, of Savage, Mont., and William Henze, 56, of Circle, Mont., swam away from the wreck site Saturday afternoon with only minor scrapes and bruises.
"About all I can say is when we landed, the airplane nosed over," said Henze, who was taking a flying lesson and attempting to land on the floats for the first time. "It was kind of shocking."
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
