Members of a North Dakota National Guard engineering unit are expected back from Iraq this month.
The Guard commander, Maj. Gen. Dave Sprynczynatyk, and Gov. John Hoeven say the 45 members of the Bismarck-based 34th Engineer Brigade are scheduled to arrive in about two weeks at Camp Atterbury, Ind. After seven days there, they'll return to North Dakota.
Guard officials say the 34th Engineer Brigade has finished more than 180 construction projects valued at more than $440 million.
The unit has been in Iraq for about a year for what is to be its last mission. Guard officials say it will become part of another unit, the 141st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, when it returns.
