FARGO (AP) - Police have arrested a suspect in a stabbing here.

Thomas Rivet, 25, of Fargo, was arrested at about 9 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop in Fargo, Sgt. Kevin Volrath said.

Volrath said Rivet was being held in the Cass County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder but he declined to release any additional information regarding the stabbing, which occurred about 3:40 a.m. Friday.

Police said earlier that a male victim was taken to Fargo hospital after being stabbed in the rib area.

Police initially said they were seeking two men in connection with the stabbing.
