Rep. Earl Pomeroy says he supports President Bush's approval of $17.4 billion in rescue loans to the U.S. auto industry.

The North Dakota Democrat says allowing the auto industry to collapse would be devastating. He says the U.S. has lost 4 million manufacturing jobs since 2001.

Pomeroy says the issue will land on the next Congress, and on President-elect Obama.
