Mercer County authorities were planning an air search on Monday over Lake Sakakawea for two ice fishermen presumed missing.
Michael Malo, 26, of Beulah, and Daniel Hass, 28, of Bismarck, told family members on Jan. 22 that they planned to fish at Renner Bay for a few days, Mercer County sheriff's Detective Mark Schmitt said.
Relatives reported the men missing on Friday, Schmitt said.
Schmitt said both men have cell phones but no one answers. Authorities are checking phone records to see if the men have made any calls in the past few days, he said.
Some searches have been done near Renner Bay, about 12 miles northwest of Beulah, Schmitt said.
The men were last seen in a maroon 1986 Camaro with a black left-front fender, Schmitt said.
