ROLLA (AP) - Rolette County officials say a Winnipeg company is planning a wind project that could have as many as 90 turbines.

The Border Wind Energy Project is being developed by the Sequoia Energy company in Rolette and Towner counties.

The director of the Rolla Job Development Authority, George Youngerman, says environmental studies are under way.

The project is expected to cover about 32,000 acres. Youngerman says Sequoia has been negotiating short-term agreements with landowners.
