GRAND FORKS (AP) - Authorities were investigating a mobile home fire here Wednesday. They said emergency workers found the body of a girl inside the burned-out trailer.

The victim's name was not immediately released. Neighbors said the girl was 3 years old, though police would not confirm that.

Police Lt. Jim Remer said the fire was reported about 8:30 a.m., and the trailer was destroyed. The home was already engulfed in flames when emergency workers arrived.

Fire Battalion Chief Rick Coulter said the fire was likely caused by "electrical arcing in the living room."

"We haven't tracked down the specific piece of equipment, or wire," he said.

Neighbors said a couple with three children lived in the home. Coulter said at least two people were in the home when the blaze started.

The other children who lived in the home are in the care of relatives, said Police Lt. Rahn Farder.

Cameron Moen, 53, who apparently was in the home at the time the fire started, was arrested on warrants unrelated to the blaze, Remer said. He said Moen was not the girl's father.

Moen was wanted in Walsh County for failure to appear in court for illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, Remer said.

Moen also had a warrant in Grand Forks for failure to pay fees on traffic citations, Remer said.
