FARGO (AP) - The Red River Regional Dispatch Center's director has resigned, about eight years after she helped start the two-state center believed to be the first of its kind.
Kathy Colvin, who submitted her letter of resignation Thursday, could not be reached for comment.
Moorhead Police Chief David Ebinger, who chairs the center's board of directors, said the board will discuss the letter next week.
Ebinger said Colvin did "excellent work," but he said the board has been planning major changes in how calls are handled and in administrative duties and Colvin might not have been comfortable with the plans.
The regional dispatch center was billed as the first in the country to cross state lines.
