FARGO (AP) - A committee searching for a new director for the Red River Regional Dispatch Center in Fargo has narrowed the field to nine finalists.
Fargo police Captain Tod Dahle (DOLL'-ee) has served as interim director since previous director Kathy Colvin resigned in May after being placed on leave by board members who had questions about morale and performance.
The nine finalists must complete a behavioral exam, and screeners will further narrow the list to four or five candidates to bring in for interviews. Officials hope to have a new director in place in October. Dahle's last day is September 24.
The regional dispatch center serves law enforcement and emergency services agencies in Cass County and Minnesota's Clay County. It handles about 200,000 calls a year.
