Gov. John Hoeven has expanded an executive order waiving service hour restrictions for commercial truck drivers hauling propane.
Hoeven issued the order last week to help get the fuel to farmers for harvest. Hoeven expanded the order on Friday from Nov. 30 to Dec. 13. Safety rules still apply.
Hoeven says wet weather has delayed the harvest of some crops this year. He says North Dakota farmers have harvested about half of the state's corn crop this year.
Hoeven says the late harvest will increase the demand for propane over the next few weeks.
