MINOT(AP) - Officials say all but one of the 22 North Dakota counties that ran mail-ballot elections in the June primary are using the process again for the general election.
Counties that are running vote-by-mail elections Nov. 4 are Adams, Burke, Dunn, Emmons, Grant, Griggs, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McHenry, McIntosh, Mercer, Nelson, Pembina, Ramsey, Ransom, Sargent, Sheridan, Steele, Towner and Walsh. McKenzie County is not participating.
Voting by mail has not been allowed for North Dakota's general election, but the Legislature eliminated the ban last year, approving a law that allows mail balloting for any election.
