DICKINSON (AP) - A pickup went over an embankment and crashed into a ravine, killing two people, but the wreckage was not found for days because it was not visible from the road, the Highway Patrol says
Killed were the driver, David Houle Jr., 31, of Belcourt, and a passenger, Dana Marie Freeman, 38, of Parshall.
Authorities said the crash may have happened early Sunday. The patrol said it was discovered Tuesday, after a passing driver saw wheel tracks and found the pickup in the ravine about 19 miles north of Kildeer.
The crash on North Dakota Highway 22, in Dunn County.
"The vehicle went off the right shoulder of the road and went off an embankment," Highway Patrol Capt. Tony Huck said.
