Committee to AID Child victims
Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has formed a committee to address the needs of children affected by methamphetamine trafficking in their homes.
The Drug Endangered Children Committee will develop procedures to coordinate state and local agency resources and services for those children, he said.
"From foster care to medical treatment, many different agencies must work together to help these children recover and heal," Stenehjem said.
The committee grew out of training sessions in three North Dakota cities last year. The group has 15 members, ranging from doctors to social service workers. The first meeting was slated for Friday. Stenehjem said he expects the work to be completed within the next few months.
