President
Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain will have some company on North Dakota's presidential ballot in November.
Secretary of State Al Jaeger says three other candidates have filed the necessary paperwork to run for president in North Dakota.
Consumer advocate Ralph Nader will be on the ballot as an independent candidate. Chuck Baldwin will be listed as the Constitution Party's candidate, and Bob Barr will be on the ballot for the Libertarian Party.
Baldwin is a Baptist minister in Florida and a radio talk show host. Barr is a former Republican congressman and federal prosecutor in Georgia.
Governor
North Dakota's November election ballot will have three governor candidates.
Secretary of State Al Jaeger says independent governor candidate DuWayne Hendrickson of Minot has submitted the necessary signatures to qualify for the Nov. 4 ballot.
Hendrickson and his running mate, Dana Brandenburg of Jud, will be on the ballot with incumbent Republican Gov. John Hoeven and Democratic challenger state Sen. Tim Mathern of Fargo.
Workers comp
Secretary of State Al Jaeger says a proposal to change how North Dakota's workers compensation agency is run will be on the statewide ballot in November.
Jaeger says he has reviewed petitions submitted by the measure's supporters, and they contain enough valid signatures to be placed on the ballot.
The proposal would put the governor in charge of appointing the director of Workforce Safety and Insurance. Now, an appointed board has the power.
