YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - Gov. Mike Rounds says an Internet site aimed at enticing South Dakota natives to return to their state has had an unexpected benefit for businesses.

Dakotaroots.com started up last fall.

The Web site keeps job seekers' identities anonymous. If someone looking for a job registers with Dakota Roots, the person will be notified of job openings that meet their skill sets.

Then, the job seeker decides whether to pursue the job directly with the business.

Rounds said his office became aware of 17 companies in the state that wanted to expand but didn't know how to get the word out to the right people.
