MINOT (AP) - A man and his wife have been ordered to serve five years in prison for bilking her parents out of more than $115,000.

Asa and Laurie Keener also have been ordered to repay an amount to be set later.

The Keeners were accused of improperly taking money from Laurie Keener's parents, Marvin and Florence Whisker, of Minot.

The Keeners were convicted of criminal conspiracy-exploitation of a vulnerable adult and criminal conspiracy-theft of property. Judge Gary Lee sentenced them Friday to 10 years in prison each, with five years suspended.
