TOWER CITY (AP) - The Cass County sheriff's office is investigating a break-in at the Wells Fargo branch bank in Tower City.
Authorities say an alarm call came in shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies found that someone had entered the bank and unsuccessfully tried to remove a safe by pulling it with their vehicle.
"Normally we investigate a bank robbery, but very few times do we actually get a call of a bank burglary," Sheriff's Capt. Rick Majerus said.
He said $155 in coins was missing, and a large amount of damage was done inside the bank.
The FBI has been called in.
