GRAND FORKS (AP) - A former Grand Forks man already in prison has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl between December 2003 and March 2006.

The latest charges facing 39-year-old Albert Bath, also known as Albert Fleur, accuse him of a sexual act with a girl who was between the ages of 5 and 7. Court documents say the incident was reported to police in February.

Police Lt. Rahn Farder says it's not unusual for child sex abuse victims to come forward "a substantial amount of time" after the incident.

Bath currently is serving a five-year sentence in the state penitientiary for violating offender registration laws.

The state's sex offender Web site says Bath was convicted in Minnesota in 1989 of molesting two girls, ages 9 and 10, while he was baby-sitting them, and that he was convicted in 1992 having sexual contact with two 4-year-old girls.
