WILLISTON (AP) - Williston State College enrollment has increased 16 percent this fall.
The college has 850 students, compared to 731 a year ago.
Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Dawn Olson attributes much of the increase to high school students who are in dual-credit programs, allowing them to receive high school and college credits simultaneously.
This year, 163 high school students are taking courses at the college, which is a significant hike from only 37 students in 2007.
