Sixteen bronze-colored pillars have been polished at the state Capitol in Bismarck after about four months of work.
The project to spruce up the Capitol fixtures cost about $500,000. It's being done to prepare for the building's 75th anniversary next year.
Besides work on the 45-foot pillars, crews worked on trim around the windows and restored the black marble wall featuring the state seal.
