FARGO - North Dakota State University's police chief is heading north.

Tim Lee is leaving the campus force in Fargo after 23 years to take a job with the University of North Dakota police department in Grand Forks. Campus Officer Virgil Mueller has been named acting police chief at NDSU.

Lee said he expects university administrators will start a regional or national search to find his successor.
