JAMESTOWN (AP) - A contest to name the National Buffalo Museum's third white buffalo in Jamestown drew 460 entries from around the U.S. and Canada.

Some of the more popular suggestions were White Thunder, White Lightning, Dakota Spirit, Dakota Lightning and Dakota Blizzard. The winner will be announced October 15.

The male calf was born May 31.
