Barack Obama's North Dakota campaign is establishing a group aimed at pointing out rural policy differences between the Democratic presidential candidate and Republican John McCain.
McCain opposed a comprehensive farm bill that Congress approved this year. Obama supported the bill.
North Dakota Congressman Earl Pomeroy says the farm bill includes crop price supports and farm disaster aid. He says it's worth billions to North Dakota's economy.
McCain says the farm bill is bloated with subsidies for rich farmers and ethanol producers.
North Dakota's Democratic congressional delegation is supporting Obama. North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan will be chairman of the Obama campaign's North Dakota rural issues group.
