FARGO (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on the roof of a downtown building.

Thomas Lindenberger, 48, lived in the building next door to the one where his body was found Tuesday morning, police said.

"Someone woke up this morning and found a person (lying) outside their window," police Sgt. Jeff Skuza said.

Police were investigating whether Lindenberger might have fallen from a second-floor roof to a first-floor roof. Officers found no obvious signs of a crime, Skuza said.

An autopsy was scheduled, and tests could take several weeks, Skuza said.
