I am an employee of Northwest Airlines here in Bismarck. As you all know by now, we are being replaced by an outsource company. We now have a date, Nov. 28 of this year. I am writing to let you know just how insensitive and uncaring NWA is.

Not only are they showing all of us the door after years of loyal service, but they see the need to twist the knife they have put in our backs.

Corporate NWA has come out with a book titled, "Restructuring Questions and Answers" that they are distributing to all "will be" laid-off employees. In this book is a suggestion section for us called "101 Ways To Save Money" after we are laid off. I am outraged at one suggestion in particular. No. 46 says, and I quote, "Don't be shy about pulling something you like out of the trash."

How dare they have the audacity to suggest such a thing. That is only one among many insults in this section of the book.

This patronizing approach shows how little they care for their employees. Their idea of helping is to send a list of 101 insults. This is a sad commentary on what American business has stooped to.
