Sometimes in life it is easy to lose faith in human nature. But my confidence in the power and reality of good was rekindled this evening. I experienced the joy of being the recipient of a random act of kindness!

I was going through the checkout line at Target and, wanting to spend only the currency in my purse, chose not to buy one item. Imagine my happy surprise when a gentleman in line behind me, a total stranger, purchased it for me.

It doesn't matter that it was only of slight cost or that I was in an electric wheelchair. Rather, what does matter is the joy such an act can bring into anyone's life. And in my case, it rekindled my hope in the goodness of mankind. Yes, God's grace is still among us and it is there for all who ask for it. What a fine example for us to follow. God bless America!
