I'd like to hear from other people who live in mobile home parks who are fed up with being labeled second-class citizens when it comes to street repair and snow removal/sanding of streets. Each owner pays city taxes based on the value of our property, but yet we have to pay a private contractor to come in to do the same work that residential home owners get. I wonder why the city and park owners can't fix the problem.
We need to change the ordinance so that it would allow garages or covered car ports on our lots. Maybe there should be a partial of land developed where we can own our own lots so we can do what we want instead of having to deal with regulations that are totally unfair.
I found out that if you complain, you are labeled a trouble maker. And rather than solve problems, you are asked to leave. There are a lot of things that need to be addressed living in mobile home parks, but I believe that park owners and the city don't want anything to change. Each year we pay more for services but the service is not good.
I also have a problem with rules that are established in mobile home parks but not enforced. We have no parking on streets, if you have more than two vehicles, and no large dogs just to name two big problems. They are never dealt with so why have policies? Maybe the city laws and mobile home rules are getting just like our government and we are just suppose to sit back and put up with it.
