The lies about health care reform

According to the Wall Street Journal, Kent Conrad gave Obama a green light to increase taxes, further bankrupt our nation and do whatever he wants to the best healthcare system in the world. "Healthcare reform" is code for "socialized medicine."

The Democratic Party lies about socialized medicine. The first is the 46 million "uninsured." More than 11 million of these people are insured by Medicaid. Around 17 million can afford health insurance, but choose not to buy it. The rest that they want to insure with your money are illegal aliens. Government statistics show that 45 percent of legal residents that are uninsured today will have insurance within four months after they are done transitioning jobs.

The next lie is that "uninsured" means "no healthcare." The Hillary Clinton campaign searched for just one American that could say that they were denied healthcare services. No such person exists.

They say that socialized medicine is better than private. Countries like Canada and Mexico have socialized medicine. People fly here from Canada and Mexico to get life-saving treatments that are being rationed back home. It's been a disaster every time it's been tried.

The biggest lie is that it's free. You will pay dearly with massive tax hikes. Take a look at Canada's tax rates. You will pay for your healthcare plus your share of the health care of those who don't work or peruse a worthwhile career. Don't expect a "thank-you" from our nation's loafers. Instead, you will get higher taxes with the "satisfaction" of knowing that you could be denied life-saving services.

Those who bankrupted Social Security and Medicare will soon be running your healthcare. Say goodbye to the great healthcare you have now and forget about government having the "assets" to "fix" the Social Security mess. Say goodbye to much of the prosperity that you enjoy today.

Mankind has yet to find a better way to create poverty in a civilized nation than socialism. Politicians and the media have perfected the art selling it.
