It is Jan. 22 as this letter is being written. Thirty-six years ago today, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned all laws prohibiting or restricting abortion.

Also, as I am writing today, there are tens of thousands of people filling the streets of Washington D.C. to attend the "March for Life." I have had the privilege of being there many times. This "March for Life" has been going on for 35 years since the Roe v. Wade ruling on Jan. 22, 1973.

This is intentional killing of the innocent (who could be more innocent than unborn babies?) and a sin which calls to heaven for vengeance. It is only a matter of time before God, who will not indefinitely be mocked, must, in his infinite justice, be obliged to visit upon our state and nation, vengeance which is only his.

We here in North Dakota have been given an opportunity to appease the just vengeance of God and beg his equally infinite mercy. A very brave North Dakota legislator has introduced a pro-life bill (HB1572) which, if passed, then signed by the governor, defended by the attorney general and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, could reverse Roe v. Wade.

Your help and prayers are requested and, in fact, urgently needed. All of you need to go beyond praying for good success and contact Rep. Dan Ruby to thank him for his moral courage and fortitude against all odds. Then ask your local representatives and senators to support this bill.
