The battle to cure cancer is without a doubt commendable. However, I don't hear much at all about what may cause cancer. Could it be some of the 70,000 chemicals we may ingest throughout our lifetime?

Some of the most common that we ingest everyday are fluoride and chlorine in our water supply, aspartame in our soft drinks, high fructose corn syrup in most every kind of food and sweetened drink. In the case of sodium fluoride, it is added to our water as a preventative for tooth decay, local governments say.

Bismarck's water has 1.5 parts per million. Beyond that Ppm, it is deemed to be harmful to us, as it is a toxic poison. Just look at the back of any tube of toothpaste that has fluoride added to it. It says to call a poison control center if ingested, especially by the very young. The consensus by many doctors is to not give infants any formula made with fluoridated water. Many dentists have changed their view on ingesting fluoride, as administering topically has the desired effect on teeth health.

This toxic product is deemed to be a medicine for healthy teeth development according to loosely presented evidence 50 years ago. In other words we are being mass medicated without knowing it. What doctor would prescribe this, and if they did, in what quantity? Most all of Europe, Scandinavia and nearly every other medically advanced nation has now banned adding fluoride to water supplies. They have found out that fluoride also makes your body absorb extra aluminum which is believed to lead to Alzheimer's disease.

At least chlorine purifies the water supply; fluoride does not. According to articles in www.fluoridealert.org, the purpose of administering fluoride is not to render the water supply pure and potable, but to contaminate it with a dangerous toxic drug. It affects about every process in the body, especially the thyroid. People with kidney problems should be made aware, also.

If we do not care what we do to ourselves, what about our poor pets that ingest this poison? The city commission is waiting to hear from you. This practice is not mandated by government and the extra expense is not needed. It is a dangerous toxic waste that is a hazard for the city workers to have to store and handle.
