It's that time of year again

Well, it's that time of year again, and I thought I would write a note to cover all the eventualities so that school principals, city officials, clothing store managers, stationery store managers, small engine repair managers, car repair shop managers and other such people could just refer to the note and be saved the bother of writing their own annoying piece that begins with, "It's that time of year again." Ihope this helps.

It's that time of year again: time to start buying back-to-school clothes and school supplies.

It's that time of year again: time to clean up the boat, camper and the trailer, winterize them and put them in storage or park them for the winter.

It's that time of year again: time to stock up on leaf bags, check the condition of the rakes and make sure the lawnmower's leaf mulching and pickup functions are working.

It's that time of year again: time to fold the tank tops, shorts, swimming suits and capri pants and put them in the dresser drawer or the closet. Time to put away the sandals and flip-flops.

It's that time of year again: time to find the winter coats, hats, gloves, mittens and boots and have them handy in the closet.

It's that time of year again: time to check the furnace, heat ducts, radiators and thermostats.

It's that time of year again: time to get the snow shovels and the snow blowers ready. Don't forget the salt and sand for the sidewalks.

It's that time of year again: time to check the car's coolant to make sure it is good to 40 below zero. Time to change the oil to make sure the car won't be too stiff. Better get the engine tuned up right away, too.
