Obama stimulus is a bad deal

I cannot believe that Obama's so-called "stimulus" package cleared the House with all the pork that was attached. I'm so furious and frustrated over this whole bailout situation.

I'd like to know how giving ACORN $4 billion is going to stimulate the economy? How is spending $330 million on prevention of sexually transmitted diseases going to help the Bobcat Co. sell their product so they can put their people back to work?

All that the working stiffs out here are going to get out of this is a $500 tax credit through payroll tax, which comes to about $40 a month. That barely buys a tank of gas.

But guess what? To qualify for this tax credit, You have to be working. If Bobcat and all these other companies that laid off workers do not bring them back, they don't get it.

Leave it to the government to make a bad situation worse. We're out here busting our butts trying to make ends meet, raising our families and paying our taxes, and this is how we get treated?

This is the change that Obama and his minions clamored for? This is change, all right. As of this writing, I've yet to see how our representative to the House voted on this. I hope he was one of the 11 Democrats who joined all the Republicans and voted against this monstrosity.

This bill now goes to the Senate; I don't know about Sen. Conrad, but I believe Sen. Dorgan has enough common sense to join the Republicans, and trash this boondoggle. Lets hope so. I know I'm going to be calling and e-mailing both of our senators to put an end to this, and I hope all those who read this do the same.
