I honestly don't know if an enclosed swimming pool should or should not be built. But I do know that the people should vote on this large project.

Since I am writing about the Park Board, I would be remiss if I didn't put in another plug for the idea of honoring the memory of Satchel Paige by naming our ballpark for Satchel Paige. This idea will definitely be supported by the people of Bismarck.

I do have one more question on the Park Board. I understand that the Bismarck Park Board is basically the only governing board whose meetings are not televised for local broadcasting.

If this is true, why won't the Park Board let the citizens of Bismarck see their proceedings? It makes me think that they must have something they want to hide. I hope not.
