Two people were injured late Saturday night after a vehicle crashed into a south Bismarck residence.
The 20-year-old driver received head and leg injuries. An 18-year-old man, who was a passenger, sustained head and possible pelvis injuries. A third passenger was a 19-year-old man.
Shortly before midnight Saturday, an Oldsmobile Allero reportedly struck the home at 322 S. 12th St. Bismarck Police Sgt. Steven Kenner said the car was traveling north on 12th at low speeds, but took an abrupt left turn. "It entered yards on 12th Street, crossed Bowen Avenue and hit the home," he said. "Two of the three (vehicle) occupants left the scene."
Kenner said two of the vehicle's occupants were injured, but none were life-threatening. Police are still determining who the driver was. Residents inside the home were reportedly not injured, but awoke when the car rammed into their front entryway. The vehicle was totaled. Damage to the home is estimated at between $5,000 and $8,000.
Kenner said alcohol and inhalants are factors in the case. The case will be reviewed by the Burleigh County state's attorney for possible charges.
