Martin Luther King Day observances in Bismarck - Mandan

To mark the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Loretta Graham will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at McCabe United Methodist Church, 1030 N. Sixth St., Bismarck. Graham will perform gospel songs in a traditional African-American style. An offering will be received for the Girl Scouts.

On Monday, the official observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the Bismarck-Mandan Ecumenical Committee will sponsor panel presentations and discussion on "Nonviolence in Our Communities: A Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr." at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 14th Street and E. Avenue C, Bismarck. Speakers include Aruna Seth, former member of the Bismarck School Board, and Brian Palecek of the North Dakota Peace Coalition.
