Police look for Bismarck woman
The Bismarck Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman missing from Bismarck.
Kimberly Cooklin, 26, was last seen on Wednesday. She was reported missing on Friday when she did not show up for work at the Bismarck Tribune. Detectives have tried to make contact with Cooklin but have been unsuccessful. They are now asking for assistance from the public.
Cooklin may be driving a red 1996 Chevy Blazer with North Dakota plates HZH 667.
Police believe Cooklin may be with Jerry Schmidt, 35. Schmidt is a convicted felon who is wanted in McKenzie County on a petition for revocation of probation for a 2000 felonious restraint conviction. Schmidt also is a convicted sex offender, due to an indecent exposure conviction, who has been delinquent in registering his address with law enforcement.
Schmidt is described as 5-feet-7-inches tall, 160 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.
Cooklin is described as 5-feet-4-inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.
