A Mandan man was arrested Sunday and has been charged with two counts of assault and two counts of terrorizing with a weapon, a class C felony.
Christopher Lee Gillis, 29, was arrested by Mandan police at the mobile home of his ex-girlfriend.
Gillis had lived with her until she kicked him out a week ago, said Mandan Police Sgt. Jay Gruebele.
On Sunday, the ex-girfriend invited Gillis back. She also had a female friend over and Gillis brought a male co-worker, apparently to hook the two friends up, Gruebele said.
However, when Gillis learned that his co-worker had given his number to the ex-girlfriend, he ran to his truck to fetch a footlong dagger, police said.
Gillis pushed the other woman to the ground and threatened her with the knife to get information about the phone number exchange. At this time, the other man left.
The ex-girlfriend was able to persuade Gillis to let the other woman go, and she ran to her home and called the police.
Gruebele said Gillis dragged his ex-girlfriend into her mobile home by the hair.
Police responded and arrested Gillis and confiscated the blade.
