The Burleigh County Sheriff's Department and a SWATteam were called to a house just outside the Lincoln city limits about 6 p.m. Tuesday for a man in his backyard with a with a handgun

Deputy Roy Bailey said the incident ended peacefully around 9:15 p.m. Bailey said the man had a single handgun and that he was taken into custody after the incident.

He declined to release any further details, saying the matter was under investigation.
