A 38-year-old man was struck and killed by a train in the 200 block of West Main Street in Bismarck on Saturday just before midnight.

The Bismarck Police Department was notified by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Co. employee that a train passing through Bismarck had struck and killed a man on the tracks. The incident is under investigation. The Bismarck police have not released the man's name.

Earlier Saturday, there was another fatal accident when a man, also 38 years of age, apparently lost control of his motorcycle and left the road near the intersection of West Main Avenue and West Rosser Avenue in Bismarck. He was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center where be was pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation. The Bismarck police have not released the man's name.
