Medora - The Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora will host a series of Wild West events through the season, beginning with a Badlands trail ride and barbecue May 20. A kids' showdeo will be held May 21. For information about the event, call 623-2000. Other seasonal events will include a National Day of the Cowboy on July 22 and juried art show Sept. 9-10.

Killdeer - A meeting to talk about day care in Killdeer will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Killdeer City Hall. The town's day care, Kidzone, may close; the meeting will address the possibility of forming a nonprofit day care in the community. Also, a Killdeer Strategic Planning Tourism Committee meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the county building in Killdeer. Everyone is invited to help plan tourism events and promotion for the community.

Linton - The annual meeting of the Linton Industrial Development Committee will beheld at 11:30 a.m. today at the Linton Community Center. Annual $50 membership dues include a meal; non-members will be charged $7 for the lunch. New Linton business owners, Wade and Christina Burns, of Beaver Creek Archaeology, and veterinarian Lyle Kenner will be on hand.

Sentinel Butte - An open house for the public to meet Jay Johnson, the new director of Home on the Range, and his family, will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fahnlander Hall, the new girls' residency hall. Everyone is welcome; refreshments will be served.

Elgin - The Grant County Dollars for Scholars spring carnival will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the school gym in Elgin. The event will include carnival games, hot dogs, tacos in a bag and supper. Proceeds will go toward scholarships to graduating seniors.

Carson - An Easter egg hunt will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Park for children ages 9 and younger. Bring a basket and play games with the Easter bunny.

Mott - St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center will hold a town health forum at 7 p.m. April 13 at the Playhouse Theater in Mott to discuss a long-range plan based on a series of community input hearings held last year. A forum will also be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Killdeer High School.

Watford City - The Badlands Gymnastics will present its 18th annual night of stars Western Style Round-off '06 at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Watford City High School gym. Ticket prices are $12 for a family and $4 for adults.

Hazen - A fish fry and auction benefit, along with a jam session, will be held starting with supper served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Hazen City Hall, with proceeds to benefit the Meals on Wheels program. New Town - The fourth annual Tribal Challenge All-star Basketball Tournament will be held April 21, 22 and 23 at New Town. This is expected to be one of the largest American Indian tournaments in the northwest and includes boys and girls high school divisions.
