Nominations are wanted for an upcoming list of the top 10 places for young professionals to work in Bismarck and Mandan.

The Bismarck-Mandan Young Professional Network, also known as the YP Network, will then publish a list of Bismarck and Mandan's top-10 next-generation employers.

The results will showcase local employers who best succeed at providing the things that attract and keep young professionals. YP surveyed its membership to come up with motivators that help young professionals want to stay at their jobs.

"Generation X, Y and Next employees have all demonstrated different motivators for success and fulfillment in the workplace," said Casey Jacobson, project co-coordinator. "YP looked at national research and developed our own local research model to identify the drivers of engagement for next generation workers in Bismarck-Mandan."

Any local employer is eligible to become a Bismarck-Mandan YP Top 10 employer.

To submit a nomination, download a form from www.ypnetwork.org. Fill it out and submit it to the YP Network via e-mail to ambassador@;ypnetwork.org, or fax it to 701-255-6125 or mail it to Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network, c/o Heather Sailer, P.O. Box 1675, Bismarck N.D. 58502.

Nominations will be accepted through March 15. Nominations will be evaluated anonymously and results will be published by May 2007.

"We see this annual survey as a workforce retention resource for local business," said Trina Gress, project co-coordinator. "We want to help connect the needs of the next generation work force to what local business provides."

YP's members are between the ages of 21 and 39. The organization strives to enhance the social, professional, cultural and service opportunities for young professionals in the Bismarck-Mandan area by providing a network for young professionals and connections to the community.
