Medora - A public presentation on the Medora Historic Buildings' survey completed this summer will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Roosevelt Room of the Community Center in Medora. The presenter is Steve Martens, associate professor of architecture at North Dakota State University in Fargo, who used national standards for the National Register of Historic Places. The study was funded by Alltel Corp., to mitigate its construction of a cell tower at Medora. For information, contact Susan Quinn Ell with the State Historical Society at 328-3576.

Linton - The Beaver Valley Horse Club will host a trail ride starting at noon Saturday at the 4-H grounds in Linton and arriving at Strasburg at 5 p.m. The club will serve hamburgers and hot dogs. The ride is free to members and costs $10 for non-members. For information, call 254-5422.

Beach - The Community Learning and Technology Center will hold its first annual meeting at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at the center in Beach. The meeting will include election of officers.

Carson - The Grant County Zoning Board will hold a meeting and hearing at 7 tonight at the Grant County Courthouse in Carson to hear an application for a confined sow farrowing facility in rural Carson. New England - A communitywide military support day will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at the New England football field. People are asked to wear red that day and every Friday to show their support. Also, four-person teams are invited to participate in the first Wheat Harvest games starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday on New England's Main Street. No athletic ability is required. Wishek - A special election will be held today in Wishek for voters to decide whether to allow the city to develop real estate for a housing subdivision and to raise a 1-cent sales tax for 10 years to pay the development costs. Polling will be at city hall from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Watford City - A bake, craft and taco-in-a-bag sale will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday by the McKenzie County Health Care Systems Horizon in celebration of assisted living week. A few items to be sold are western art and crafts, krumkaka and other baked goods. Also, the hospital auxiliary will hold its annual noon lunch and country store with homemade jelly, jam and pickles from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Watford City Civic Center.

Riverdale - The 18th annual Physically Challenged Children's Fishing event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery at Riverdale. Glen Ullin - Glen Ullin will hold its annual Fall Festival Friday through Sunday, starting with 7 p.m. football Friday, and a 10 a.m. parade Saturday. Other Saturday events are an art and craft show at the Glen Ullin Parish Hall, kids' games downtown, afternoon bingo at the Blue Room, a car show on South Avenue and a street dance at 9 p.m. Sunday will see a church service at 1 p.m. at the museum grounds and a co-ed softball tournament.
